Letter of Solidarity from the AAPI Community

Writer's picture: VictimsFirstVictimsFirst

A collective of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations in Colorado expressed their solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community following the Colorado Springs nightclub shooting at Club Q.

This letter can be read below:

Last year, eight women and one man were murdered in three separate shootings at Asian American-owned spas near Atlanta, reflecting a long-standing trend of violence against Asian American women, as well as an ongoing history of xenophobic attacks and anti-Asian violence.

The victims of the Atlanta Spa Shootings that occurred on March 16, 2021, were:

Delaina Ashley Yaun (33)

Xiaojie Tan (49)

Daoyou Feng (44)

Paul Andre Michels (54)

Hyun Jung Grant (51)

Suncha Kim (69)

Soon Chung Park (74)

Yong Ae Yue (63)

We are so humbled, honored, and grateful that the AAPI community is coming out to support the Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ community in the direct aftermath of a hate-motivated mass casualty crime.

We are committed to ensuring 100% of all donations meant for victims go directly to them.
